Calculators

Three tools for working out whether a facility makes sense before you apply for it. Nothing here asks for your contact details, and nothing here is an offer. SMEBox does not lend and does not set rates.

The rate you enter is the rate you have been quoted, or one you want to test. We have not pre-filled a market rate anywhere, because a figure sitting in a box on an adviser’s website reads as a rate on offer, and we are not the ones offering it.

Work out the repayments

Enter the rate a bank has quoted you, or one you want to test. SMEBox does not lend and does not set rates, so there is nothing pre-filled here.

As quoted by the bank
Monthly repayment
RM0
Total interest
RM0
Total repayable
RM0

An estimate on a reducing balance basis, for planning only. It is not a quotation, an offer, or an indication that any facility is available to you. Actual repayments depend on the bank’s own calculation, the rate it offers you and the fees attached to the facility.

Can the business service it?

Banks size SME lending against the cash the business generates, not against what you would like to borrow. This is the ratio they work to.

Coverage ratio
0.00
Total annual repayments
RM0
Headroom after repayments
RM0

A general guide only. Banks apply their own definitions of operating profit, their own minimum ratio, and their own adjustments for director’s remuneration, related party balances and one-off items. A ratio above the usual threshold does not mean an application will be approved, and a ratio below it does not mean it will be declined.

What invoice financing actually costs

Invoice finance is priced over a short period, so a rate that reads as small monthly can be substantial once annualised. This shows both.

Percentage released upfront
Discount and service charges combined
Cash released now
RM0
Cost in ringgit
RM0
Equivalent annual rate
0%

An estimate for comparison only, not a quotation. Real facilities carry arrangement and service fees that are not modelled here, and the charge often depends on how long the invoice actually takes to pay rather than how long you expect it to. Ask any provider for the total cost in ringgit over the full period.

What these will not tell you

None of these calculators can tell you whether a bank will approve you. That depends on your trading history, your bank conduct, your existing commitments, your sector and the bank’s own appetite this quarter, none of which is arithmetic. If you want a read on that, the eligibility self-check asks seven questions and gives you a plain answer, still without asking who you are.

Working out what the numbers mean

If the repayment looks affordable but the coverage ratio does not, or the invoice finance cost is higher annualised than you expected, those are exactly the conversations worth having before you apply rather than after.
