SMEBox advises on bank financing and does not lend. What that means for the information on this site and for any decision you take from it.
SMEBox is a trading name of Double Pro Plus Sdn Bhd (1280749-D). We review your position, tell you which facilities and which banks are realistic, prepare the submission and lodge it on your instruction. Every facility described on this site is provided by a bank or development financial institution licensed in Malaysia. The money is theirs and so is the decision.
We do not lend money, provide credit, or set interest rates. We are not licensed under the Moneylenders Act 1951 and we do not carry on moneylending business. We do not advise on personal loans or consumer credit of any kind.
The guides, tables and explanations on this site are written for business owners generally. They do not take account of your accounts, your existing commitments, your shareholding or anything else specific to you, and they are not financial, legal or tax advice. Two businesses reading the same page should often act differently.
No part of this site is an offer of finance, an invitation to borrow, or a statement that a facility will be available to you. Whether an application succeeds depends on the bank’s own assessment and on its appetite at the time, neither of which we control. We cannot guarantee approval, an amount, a tenure or a price, and we do not claim an approval rate on this site.
The repayment estimator, the affordability check and the invoice finance comparison calculate from figures you type in, using general assumptions. They do not use any bank’s actual criteria and they cannot see your accounts. Treat the output as arithmetic that helps you think, not as a result. The eligibility self-check is the same: it is a general indication of how a file like yours tends to be read, not an assessment and not a decision.
Scheme names, eligibility conditions, allocations, documentation requirements and regulatory guidance all change, sometimes without notice, and published sources sometimes disagree with each other. Where a figure on this site would go stale or where sources conflict, we mark the gap rather than print something we cannot stand behind. Check the current position with the bank, the scheme owner or Bank Negara before relying on it.
Where we name a bank, a regulator or a scheme, we do so to describe how something works. It does not mean that organisation appoints us, endorses us, or has any arrangement with us. No bank or lender pays SMEBox anything, and we are not an agent of any of them. Our fee comes from the client, on completion, and is set out on the how we are paid page.
Links to regulators and scheme owners are provided because the source is authoritative and worth reading directly. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content or their availability.
For a view on your own position, talk to an adviser, your accountant or your bank. For a complaint about how a bank handled an application, the bank’s own complaints process is the first step, and Bank Negara publishes guidance on what happens next. For anything with real personal exposure, such as a guarantee, take legal advice before you sign.
